Bucs RB Williams suffers a torn patellar tendon in left knee
Football Betting Lines
12/29/2008 - Tampa, FL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams suffered a torn patellar tendon in Sunday's season-ending loss to Oakland, but the injury prognosis was better than expected.
The injury occurred in Williams' left knee, but it was not as severe as his patellar tendon tear in his right knee suffered on September 30, 2007. That injury kept Williams out of the lineup for 14 months, and he didn't return to live game action until November 23 this season.
The timetable for Williams' return could put him back into the fray during training camp. He rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns to go along with five catches for 37 yards in the 31-24 loss to the Raiders.
On the season, Williams appeared in six games with 233 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
